Support and Silliness

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of really hopeful highs and really life-sucking lows. The best thing though has been my amazing friendships. This is a post just for my people who got me.

To my students, thank you for the distraction and the laughs. Y'all make every day just a little bit better and a little bit easier. Without y'all, this month would have completely drained me, but y'all keep me going. I see the ways that y'all hype me up and I appreciate all of it. I hope that I can give you back just a little bit of the goodness that you have brought to my life.

To my incredible family who are constantly reminding me that I am worth more than any negative thought I have in my head, thank you. Thank you for making sure that I at least try to eat when I don't want to and getting me to continue being a person when I feel stuck. Thank you for music and laughter and openness. I am a strong woman because you raised me to be one. I can stand own feet because I know that I have open arms to fall back on when I need it. You made me me.

To my wonderful coworkers, thank you for kind smiles in the hallway and solidarity. You can read the room like no other (probably because elementary school teachers are super heroes) and you always understand what I need. You lighten the load for me without asking and take on some of the chaos. I am so grateful for how you support me.

To my team, you know exactly what I need to hear, when I need to hear it, and deliver it with love. You make me laugh all day long and y'all know my life in a way that very few can understand because you go through every day with me. You are my role models and I hope to live up to the incredible example you set for me every day. You help me get through every moment and I know that when the crazy stuff happens, you are there for me to vent to and to give me extremely real advice. Y'all's friendship is incredible. I am grateful for things like Troop 5 and knowing that I will end the day having laughed so hard that my stomach hurts.

To my wonderful friends, thank you for always being by my side. You are there while I cry, laugh, and everything in-between. You are literally the greatest friends a girl could ask for. I am beyond blessed to get to include y'all as my family. Y'all are truly the greatest and I appreciate all the joy that you bring to everyday of my life. Y'all keep the only thing hanging from Pre-K off the roof and stop me from disengaging.

Love you big!

Adelaide

P.S. I promise that on my healing journey (lol to those friends and family who get the RHOSLC reference) that my blog is going to be getting lighter.
